About this course

Proficiency Area: Learning.

Program implementation is an organization's ability to effectively manage the quality of program implementation, including direct service and/or advocacy efforts.

In the first lesson toward your bronze Merit badge, you'll explore:

  • How we define "programs" and "implementation" using implementation science.

  • The importance of community-defined evidence in understanding nonprofit program implementation.

  • Four phases of program implementation: exploration, installation, initial implementation, and full implementation.

  • Closing the "know-do" gap in our capacity for program implementation.
